The Leeds International Film Festival is an annual event showcasing numerous films from around the world over a two-week period. This year’s festival takes place from October 3 to 13, 2002, and features a number of Japanese film screenings, both anime and live-action, at various cinemas in Leeds.
On Sunday, October 6, 2002, from 1:00 PM until 11:00 PM, there will be a day of anime film screenings at The Lounge Cinema, Headingley, Leeds. The following films will be shown:

- 5:00 PM: Patlabor: The Movie
- 7:30 PM: Metropolis
- 9:30 PM: Millennium Actress
A stall run by Travelling Man will be present, selling anime-related merchandise. Other films being shown at the festival that may be of interest to anime fans are Avalon and My Beautiful Girl, Mari.

- Concessions: GBP 3.00
Special offer until October 3, 2002: 5 tickets for the price of 4, or 12 tickets for the price of 10.
